Taiwan’s bedrooms are becoming much smaller. People can only choose to sacrifice the bedside table and shelf spaces, and cause the visual of the bedroom to be monotone. But they actually still have the needs. We decided to present a bed frame design that can have storage and be laid back at the same time. It would be quite different from the traditional box-type structure. We transparently combine the shapes and functions. It saves more space, is more convenient, and creates an elegant bedroom area.
IN-BETWEEN was produced of solid wood. We remixed the traditional structures to be able to be easier fit in modern Taiwanese interior design, then still keep the eastern aesthetic.
We also made it be thicker. It can naturally avoid the ceiling beam and create a room for storage. The wooden fences just leave the specific amount for laying back and the rest of the place can just put what we prefer. Then behind the fences, we can store something that is easy to fell down, or we want to hide slightly like a cup, tissue box, lamp...etc. IN-BETWEEN is a beautiful encounter from the bed frame and bedside table.
