A.Rush is a stool and side table. It's made of ash wood and rush straw.
Triangle Rush straw is an indigenous species of Taiwan. It's also a material of local weaving craft. We used them for various needs in the past. But now, because of the high usage of plastic, the traditional craft is disappearing.
Therefore, I started to rethink how to bring bake the Rush straw to our daily life. Using the furniture to carry the tradition to fit in our modern space.
The stool and the side table are small volumes type of furniture and be frequently used. So I decided to design with them as a beginning. Combine the traditional craft and furniture design by eastern aesthetic. To make the forms to echo Triangle Rush straw. Finally, create a unique eastern beauty for the space of life.
